Manipur to face Assam in NE Little Masters Trophy semis

Manipur booked their place in the semifinals of the 1st NE Little Masters Trophy 2025 (U14 Age Group) after handing out a 9-wicket hammering to Sikkim on Saturday at Annexe Ground, ACA Stadium, Guwahati.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Sikkim were bowled out for a modest 82 runs in 26.2 overs.
Their innings faltered early, with key batsmen Vikash Prasad (1) and Asish Gautam (0) falling cheaply.
Captain Siddharth Sharma top-scored with 17, while Osum Chhetri remained unbeaten on 18 .
Manipur's bowlers dominated, led by captain Lamnganba Nongmailhem, who claimed 3 wickets for just 14 runs in 6.2 overs.
Sagatnam Telheiba (2/15) and Farhan Ahmed (1/5) provided crucial support, stifling Sikkim's scoring.
In reply, Manipur chased down the target in just 13.5 overs, finishing at 83/1.Opener Tyrus Chabungbam anchored the innings with an unbeaten 32 off 46 balls, while Simon Konthoujam contributed a brisk 22 from 22 deliveries.
Sagatnam Telheiba (17* off 16) sealed the victory with a flourish, ensuring Manipur's spot in the last four.
Manipur will now face Assam in their semifinal clash on Monday, April 28, at ACA Cricket Academy Ground, Fulung, Guwahati, while Meghalaya and Tripura will square off in the other semifinal at Annexe Ground, ACA Stadium, Guwahati.
