37th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo : Black Watch PC, MPSC-B win to complete semi-final line up

Imphal, March 22 2025: The semi-final line up of the 37th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament organised by Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association have been completed today with Black Watch Polo Club and MPSC-B securing quarter-final victories at Mapal Kangjeibung this afternoon.

In the 3rd quarterfinal match of the tournament, Black Watch Polo Club knocked out Assam Rifles Polo Team-A by 11-8 goals courtesy of Th Nongpoknganba and P Ojit Singh who scored across all the four chukkers.

Th Nongpoknganba scored 6 goals, three each in the first two and last two chukkers while P Ojit scored three in the first two chukkers and two in the last two chukkers to set up the 11-8 victory.

For Assam Rifles Polo Team-A, Kh Sushilo and Kh Chandrakumar scored three goals apiece and M Kuber added twice.

In the last quarterfinal match, MPSC-B rallied back in the last two chukkers to outlast Tentha Polo Club-A by 7-4 goals.

Soram Dollar scored twice and S Sadananda and L Rohit scored a goal each against a goal by Suresh for MPSC-B in the first chukker to give Tentha PC-A 4-1 lead after two chukkers.

MPSC-B however turned things around as Viking Salam and S Abungcha scored two goals each and T Pradeep added one in the third chukker to make it 6-4 .

S Abungcha then hit the final nail to the coffin in the fourth chukker.
