MNCA Elite Tourney: Al-Ameen, SCCC share points after 105-run tie

Al-Ameen, Lilong and SCCC, Singjamei Thongam Leikai played out a rare 105-run tie in a rain curtailed match of the 8th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Al-Ameen opted to field first and saw SCCC gather 105 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 18 overs before they collected the same 105 runs for 8 wickets in the chase to share a point apiece.
Ulenyai Khwairakpam 44, Roshan Das 29 and Pradeep Singh 10 not out were the leading run getters for the Singjamei team in their innings which saw Habibullah (3/10 in 4 overs) and Najarul Islam (2/17 in 4 overs) sharing five wickets for Al-Ameen.
In reply, Nawaz 49, Khullakpam Shahdat 22 and Md Sagir Ahmed 12 toiled hard to lead the team to victory but missed by a run.
Sandeep Chakraborty (4/13) starred with a four wicket haul for SCCC and Rakeshwor Republic Hidangmayum and Roshan Das picked a wicket apiece.
Two other matches - PTCC, Patsoi Part III vs PTRC, Patsoi Part IV at Lairenjam Public Ground and CRAU, Khamnam Bazar vs REYS, Nagamapal at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground were abandoned forcing the teams to earn a point apiece.
With one point from the abandoned match, PTRC climbed to second in the team standings of the 12-team competition on 9 points from 5 matches.
