Imphal, May 29 2026:
A masterclass in top-order batting followed by a devastating four-wicket haul from spinner Mujahir propelled KSDO, Kyamgei to a comprehensive 87-run victory over PTRC, Patsoi Part IV in a one-sided semi-final encounter of the 5 th MNCA U14 Boys' One Day Trophy.
Opting to bat first, KSDO recovered brilliantly from an early setback to post a mammoth 211/4 .
In reply, PTRC's batting line-up collapsed under intense scoreboard pressure, finishing their quota of 30 overs at a dismal 124/9 .
The KSDO's decision to bat first paid rich dividends despite losing opener Mujamin (11) in the third over to a sharp delivery from Thokchom Yaiphaba.
The early blow only brought out the best in Kh Firdos, who joined forces with opener Khutheibam Abu Sufiyan to stitch together a match-defining 84-run partnership for the second wicket.
Sufiyan played the anchor role to perfection, grinding his way to a vital 57 off 70 balls, studded with six boundaries and a six.
At the other end, Firdos took on the role of the aggressor.
He took the PTRC bowling attack to the cleaners, smashing a brilliant 75 off 73 deliveries, including nine fours and two towering maximums, before being caught behind off Ghoutam Chingangbam in the 26th over.
With a solid foundation in place, Sangomsumpham Arish provided the final flourish.
Arish blasted an unbeaten 32 off just 21 balls, while Mohammed Gunbas chipped in with a brisk 17 off 8 balls, motoring KSDO past the 200-run mark.
Chasing a daunting target of 212 at over seven runs per over, PTRC's response got off to ,a disastrous start.
Sharp fielding from the combination of Arish and Firdos caught opener Winner Nongmaithem (7) short of his crease in the fifth over.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Priyojit Thongam (22) and Ghoutam Chingangbam (28) staged a brief recovery with a 30-run stand.
However, the required run-rate quickly mounted as KSDO's bowlers kept things exceptionally tight.
Once Abdul Gani broke the partnership by dismissing Priyojit in the 12th over, the wheels completely came off the PTRC chase.
The second half of the innings belonged entirely to Mujahir, who tore through the middle and lower order with immaculate control, triggering a massive collapse.
PTRC slipped from a stable 84/2 to a precarious 91/6 in a space of just five overs.
Mujahir finished with spectacular tournament figures of 4 for 22 in his six overs.
Mohammed Gunbas choked the remaining batter out with an incredibly economical spell, conceding just 9 runs in his 4 overs.
Despite a lonely, unbeaten 10 from Irengbam Oshtin Singh, PTRC were restricted to 124/9 as KSDO set up the final date with RCA, Lilong.
Kh Firdos was named player of the match.
