Men's U-23: CRAU pummel YPHUC by 307 runs; Al-Ameen, AKSDO, PTRC win

CRAU delivered a crushing 307-run victory over YPHUC in the 2nd MNCA Men's U-23 Haobam Biramangol Singh Memorial Trophy at Khudelband Lampak on Thursday.
CRAU posted a mammoth total of 387/4 in their 40 overs before skittling YPHUC for a mere 80 in just 25.3 overs.
CRAU's innings was anchored by a magnificent 156 off 120 balls from Sanatomba K, who struck 18 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 130.00.He was ably supported by Ph Jodash, who blazed his way to an unbeaten 106 from just 46 deliveries, including 15 fours and 4 sixes, at a staggering strike rate of 230.43.Khumanthem Prakash Singh also contributed a brisk 60 off 43 balls, as CRAU's batters ruthlessly exploited YPHUC's bowling attack.
YPHUC's bowlers struggled to contain the onslaught, with only Iron Ishor (1/34) and Iron Sunny Singh (1/45) managing to pick up wickets early.
The rest of the attack conceded heavily, with economy rates soaring above 9 runs per over.
In reply, YPHUC's innings never gained momentum, crumbling under the pressure of CRAU's disciplined bowling.
Bm Sabakhan was the star with the ball, claiming an extraordinary 5 wickets for just 6 runs in 7 overs, including 5 maidens.
His spell, which included three ducks, left YPHUC reeling at 24/3 early on.
Naorem Kamajit (2/11) and Heishnam Joyhenba Meitei (1/3) provided ample support, ensuring YPHUC were bundled out for 80 .
Iron Sunny Singh (33 off 17 balls) and Konsam Mangal Singh (14 off 52) offered brief resistance, but the rest of the lineup faltered against CRAU's relentless attack.
Al-Ameen, meanwhile, enjoyed a 216-run thrashing of SHADOW in their meeting at Public Ground, Khangabok.
Al-Ameen post a formidable total before dismantling their opponents with a clinical bowling performance.
Al-Ameen's innings was spearheaded by Mohd Sagir Ahamed, who struck 52 runs off just 32 balls, including 4 fours and 4 sixes.
He was well-supported by Fm Sakil Ahamed (41 off 48) and Imanur (37 off 31) as the team posted a challenging total of 290 .
The bowlers then took centre stage, with Shohel Akter delivering a match-winning spell of 5 wickets for just 16 runs in 5.5 overs.
Sagatpam Lanchenba (4/41) and Fm Sakil Ahamed (2/14) also contributed significantly, ensuring SHADOW was bundled out for a meagre 74 .
SHADOW's batting lineup crumbled under pressure, with only Chinglemba Haobam (17) and Sagatpam Telheiba (13) reaching double figures.
The team lost wickets at regular intervals, unable to withstand Al-Ameen's disciplined attack.
AKSDO secured a narrow 9-run victory over TCMDC in a thrilling encounter at Lairenjam Public Ground.
Batting first, AKSDO posted 138/10 in 39.2 overs, with Laishram Samson Meetei (44 off 41) and Akash Laishram (24 off 23) leading the charge.
TCMDC's bowlers, Birjeet Laishram (3/34) and Kongbraliatpam Kalyan Sharma (2/18), kept the pressure on.
In reply, TCMDC fell short at 129/10 despite Laishram Vivekananda Singh's explosive 39 (23 balls) and Rain Urikhimbam's 34 (53).Saikhom Kaiku Meetei (3/11) and Rohit Laishram (2/34) starred with the ball for AKSDO.
Meanwhile, PTRC chased down SCCC's total of 129 with 5 wickets to spare at Moijing Public Ground.
SCCC's innings was anchored by Ulenyai Khwairakpam's brilliant 75 (55 balls), but Jotin Pheiroijam (4/9) and Tamarland Pheiroijam (3/9) dismantled the batting lineup.
PTRC reached 132/5 in 29.4 overs, thanks to Laitonjam Jackson Singh's unbeaten 29 (27) and Ngambarei Naoshekpam's 25 (35).Lishan Meitei Khaidem (2/22) was the standout bowler for SCCC .
