MU Inter College Archery Championship : Hosts Regional College emerge on top with 5 medals

Hosts Regional College secured pole position as the Manipur University Inter College Men and Women's Archery Championship came to a close today at the college ground.
Regional College amassed 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals to finish on top of the tally while Shree Shree Gourgobind Girls' College secured two gold medals.
Pole Star College also managed 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals as Kakching Khunou College bagged a gold and a bronze medal apiece.
Regional College swept the men's recurve competition medals on their way to the top of the table finish as L Yohenba shot the best 313 points, K Rohit scored 308 points and S Rakesh managed 307 points to dominate the competition.
S Johnson bagged the other gold medal for the college scoring the highest 344 points in the men's compound event to leave MU's Ng Lamnganba (342 pts) and O Henary (340 pts) in his wake.
The other bronze medal for the college was claimed by S Melody Devi in the women's recurve competition with285-point finish as Pole Star College's Y Anupama shot 304 points and KP College's Paonam Jenifer scored 302 points to seal the top two places.
Thokchom Supriya and Thongam Senyai in the meantime clinched gold medals for Shree Shree Gourgobind Girls' College by producing best performances in the women's Indian Round and Compound events.
Supriya shot 292 points to seal the Indian round gold as Keisham Sandhya of Pole Star College (284 points) and L Rabina Devi of Kakching Khunou College (283 points) settled for the silver and the bronze medals.
Meanwhile, Senyai recorded 316 points in the compound event to win the gold medal as Thounaojam Gracia of NG College (307 points) and Hemam Emerald of Naorem Birahari College (306 points) finished second and third.
The men's India Round event gold medal went to Kakching Khunou College's Leitanthem Shinthoiba who gathered 336 points as Pole Star College's S Jenibash (317 points) and M Bikash (316 points) bagged the silver and bronze medals.
