Luwangpokpa T-20: RULE outclass KCDO by 5 wkts, YWC beat MPSC

Imphal, April 26 2025: RULE secured a convincing 5-wicket victory over KCDO in the 5th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy clash on Saturday at Model Hr Secondary & Oriental College Ground.

KCDO opted to bat first but were bowled out for a modest 90 runs in 19.2 overs.

Their innings faltered early, with only Md Ajizur Rahman (20 off 26) and Mani Moirangthem (14 off 28) offering resistance.

Jay Singh was the standout bowler for RULE, claiming 3 wickets for just 12 runs, supported by Nongthombam Sarojkumar Singh (2/11) and Rojit Singh Angomcha (2/10) .

In reply, RULE chased down the target in just 12.5 overs, finishing at 95/5.Sanjenbam Suresh starred with an unbeaten 37 off 30 balls, while Jay Singh contributed 26 off 29 .

Kshetrimayum Dayananda (2/15) and Hemjit (1/9) were the pick of the bowlers for KCDO, but their efforts were in vain as RULE cruised to victory.

Meanwhile, YWC defeated MPSC by 2 wickets.

Batting first, MPSC posted a total of 137/7 in their 20 overs, thanks to notable contributions from Thongam Somorjit Singh (38* off 23) and Maibam Bijoykumar Singh (31* off 24) .

YWC chased down the target with just two balls to spare, finishing at 141/8 in 19.4 overs.

Jiko Sorokhaibam (31 off 27) and Heishnam Manikanta (30 off 29) were key with the bat, while Md Farijuddin took 3 wickets for MPSC in vain.
