Governor's Cup Men's Polo : X-Polo Club outlast Black Watch PC to set up final date with MPSC-B

Imphal, April 16 2025: X-Polo Club, Wangkhei defeated Black Watch PC, Babupara by 8-7 goals in a neck and neck semi-final encounter at Mapal Kangjeibung to set up the final date with MPSC-B in the 31st Governor's Cup Invitation Men's State Polo Tournament.

Eyeing the remaining final berth, X-Polo Club and Black Watch PC started the game cautiously and played out a 2-2 draw in the opening chukker.

Both the sides added a goal apiece in the following chukker but four impressive goals for X-Polo Club in the third chukker made the difference despite Black Watch PC trying hard to level in the final chukker.

L Atangba and Th Santosh played key roles in X-Polo Club's victory as they added three goals apiece and Th Jacob and L Kokeshwor added a goal apiece.

For Black Watch PC, P Ojit scored four goals across the first, third and the fourth chukkers but his effort went in vain as they fail short by a margin to force a draw.

Th Nongpoknganba also added twice and S Bon Bon added one for the same team.

The final match is slated for April 18 .
