MNCA Women's 11-23: AKSDO thrash YPHUC to finish third in Group A

Imphal, April 16 2025:
AKSDO finished third in Group A after wrapping up their campaign with a 259-run thrashing of YPHUC, who ended in fifth place, in their group match of the 1st MNCA Women's U-23 One Day Trophy 2024-25 at SEDOC Ground on Wednesday.
THAU (Group A winners), SHADOW (Group B runners-up), FORCE (Group B winners) and PTCC (Group A runners-up) have already secured their spots in the semifinals, which are scheduled for Thursday, April 17, 2025 .
AKSDO won the toss and elected to bat, setting a formidable total of 306/2 in their allotted 35 overs.
YPHUC struggled in reply, collapsing to 47 all out in just 20.5 overs.
The innings was anchored by Bijiya Khundrakpam, who remained unbeaten on 124 runs off 107 balls, including 16 boundaries.
She was well-supported by Daina Moirangthem (69 off 77) and Olebia Khundrakpam (49 off 33), whose aggressive stroke play propelled the team past 300 .
YPHUC's bowlers toiled hard, with Joyshree Charoibam and Eriklembi Soubam claiming a wicket each, but extras (58 runs) compounded their woes.
In response, YPHUC's batting lineup faltered under relentless pressure from AKSDO's attack.
Lucyrani Khundrakpam was the star with the ball, taking 5 wickets for just 8 runs in 3.5 overs, including a devastating spell of precision bowling.
Rabina Khundrakpam (2/5) and Daina Moirangthem (2/16) also contributed to the rout.
Only Japani Irom (25 off 52) offered resistance, as YPHUC were skittled out for 47, their innings lasting less than half the allotted overs.
