Imphal, April 16 2025: X-Polo Club pulled off a hard-fought 8-7 victory over Black Watch in a thrilling semifinal clash in the 31st Governor's Cup Invitation Polo Tournament 2025, booking their place in the final.

The match began with both sides evenly matched, ending the first chukker level at 2-2.L Kokeshwor and Th Jacob found the mark for X-Polo, while P Ojit struck twice for Black Watch.

The second chukker saw neither side gain an advantage, with L Atangba converting for X-Polo and S Bon Bon replying for Black Watch, leaving the score tied at 3-3 .

X-Polo finally broke the deadlock in a high-scoring third chukker, with Atangba completing a hat-trick and Th Santosh adding a brace.

Black Watch kept pace with goals from Nongpoknganba and Ojit, but X-Polo held a slender lead heading into the final chukker.

Santosh sealed the win with his third goal of the match in the fourth chukker, ensuring X-Polo's passage to the final despite late strikes from Ojit and Nongpoknganba, who each netted their second goals for Black Watch.
