PTRC, SU, YPHUC script emphatic wins in MNCA Men's U-19 One Day Trophy

PTRC, SU and YPHUC recorded commanding wins, while AMCA beat MPA by 23 runs in the 3rd MNCA Mens U-19 One Day Trophy league matches on Friday.
PTRC demolished SSC by 174 runs at Lairenjam Public Ground.
PTRC won the toss and opted to bat first, posting a competitive total of 205 all out in 33 overs.
In reply, SSC were bowled out for a mere 31 in just 21.4 overs, succumbing to PTRC's disciplined bowling attack.
Captain Tamarland Pheiroijam was the standout performer, blasting an unbeaten 52 off just 25 balls.
His innings, laced with eight boundaries, provided the late surge that propelled PTRC past 200.Salam Richie (45 off 34) and Venson Yumnam (27 off 36) also contributed valuable runs, ensuring a solid foundation.
For SSC, Nadir and Altamas Sheik claimed two wickets each, but their bowlers struggled to contain PTRC's aggressive batting.
YPHUC thrashed THAU by a massive 123-run margin at Khudelband Lampak.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, YPHUC were bowled out for 161 in 33.3 overs - a total that seemed modest but proved more than enough given their bowlers' fiery display.
In reply, THAU's innings crumbled spectacularly, folding for a paltry 38 in just 20.2 overs.
YPHUC's innings was anchored by their captain and wicketkeeper Bishworaj Sharma, who top-scored with a composed 44 off 48 balls, including five boundaries.
His partnership with Birbal Irom (18 off 39) steadied the innings after early wobbles, but the middle and lower order failed to capitalise fully.
Extras played a surprising role, with THAU conceding a staggering 49 wides and 3 no-balls, gifting YPHUC crucial runs.
SU chased down a modest target with ease, defeating AL-AMEEN by 8 wickets at Public Ground, Khangabok.
AL-AMEEN were bowled out for 140 in 21.4 overs, with Sagolsem Hemjit Singh (4/21) and Keisham Anderson (2/24) leading the charge.
In response, SU reached 144/2 in 28.2 overs, guided by Philan Rajkumar's unbeaten 27 and a blistering 26* off 11 balls by Keisham Anderson.
The win underscored SU's dominance with both bat and ball.
Meanwhile, AMCA clinched a hard-fought 23-run victory against MPA at Moijing Public Ground.
Batting first, AMCA posted 195/9, with SS Albash (39) and Hanif (38) contributing crucial runs.
MPA's chase fell short at 172, despite Chongtham Sitaranjan Singh's gritty 44.Thoubalmayum Mustakim was the star for AMCA, taking 4/26, while Moichingmayum Md Yakin's twin strikes ensured their team emerged victorious in a tense finish.
