Women's Futsal: FC Imphal run riot, ESU drub MUFA, YWC and MPSC split points in 12-goal thriller

FC Imphal produced a staggering performance with a 36-3 demolition of Khuman FA, while ESU secured a comfortable 11-7 victory over Manipur United FA in the 1st Women's Futsal Inter-Club Championship 2025 at Artificial Turf Ground, KIYC, on Wednesday.
FC Imphal were in scintillating form, netting an astonishing 36 goals in a one-sided affair.
Thingujam Bhumika spearheaded the onslaught with a remarkable 10-goal haul (1', 21', 23, 26', 30', 32', 34, 35', 36', 37'), closely followed by Bijeya Laishram, who struck nine times (13', 15', 17', 18', 21', 24', 25', 28', 33') .
Khumukcham Bhumika also shone with eight goals (2', 6, 9', 22', 24', 29', 32', 40'), while Thongam Reshma completed a hat-trick (3', 10', 11) .
Silky Nong (3', 8') and Thingbaijam Sanjita (7', 19') each added a brace, with Amom Nanao (14) and Goldy Ngasepam also getting on the scoresheet.
Khuman FA's consolation strikes came from Aisha Sidika, Dasila Senjam Yumnam, and Sushima Chanu.
In the day's other fixture, ESU cruised to an 11-7 win over Manipur United FA.
Wayenbam Ranjibala was the standout performer with five goals, supported by doubles from Athokpam Luxmi, Thoidingjam Babyrani, and Anjali Gurumayum.
Despite a spirited effort from Manipur United, Herina Basumatary's hat-trick, Mongjam Pusparani's brace, and solitary strikes from Golmei Abem Kabuini and Laishram Malemnganbi were not enough to avoid defeat.
The clash between YWC and MPSC ended in a pulsating 6-6 draw.
YWC's goals came from Yumnam Laxmi and Chingangbam Binomala, who each scored twice, alongside contributions from Wairokpam Daina Chanu and Sarangthem Alena.
For MPSC, Kshetrimayum Naocha notched a hat-trick, with Thokchom Devajani, Salam Pramodi-ni, and Salam Rinaroy also finding the net in an evenly matched encounter.
