MNCA Men's U-23: PCC, RCA, KASC, YWC register comfortable wins

Imphal, March 28 2025:
PCC, RCA, KASC and YWC-L recorded commanding victories in Friday's fixtures of the 2nd MNCA Mens U-23 Haobam Biramangol Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25 .
PCC produced an all-round performance to claim a resounding 177-run victory over RULE in their encounter at Public Ground, Khangabok.
Opting to bat first, PCC posted a formidable total of 280 runs in 38.2 overs, thanks to a sensational innings by Takhelmayum Vikash, who smashed a blistering 165 off just 97 balls, including 11 fours and 14 sixes, at a staggering strike rate of 170.10.He was well-supported by Max Warokpam Meitei, who contributed a fluent 56 off 48 deliveries.
RULE's bowlers had little answer to the onslaught, with Jay Singh being the pick of their attack, claiming 4 wickets for 37 runs.
In reply, RULE's batting lineup crumbled under pressure, managing only 103 runs in 26 overs.
Jay Singh fought valiantly with a half-century (50 off 59 balls), but the rest of the team faltered against PCC's disciplined bowling.
Boocker Kangujam and Takhelmayum Vikash were the stars with the ball, each taking 4 wickets.
Boocker's figures of 8-2-17-4 were particularly impressive, showcasing his control and precision.
RCA, meanwhile, dominated MODEL by 155 runs at Lairenjam Public Ground.
RCA won the toss and elected to bat first, setting a competitive 263/8 in their allotted 40 overs.
The innings was anchored by standout performances from Md Danish Khan, who blazed his way to 58 runs off just 32 balls, and captain Syed Hussain, who contributed a brisk 53 off 40 deliveries.
The MODEL bowlers struggled to contain the RCA batters, with Biyon Naorem being the main performer bowlers, claiming 3 wickets for 60 runs.
In response, MODEL faltered early and were bundled out for a mere 108 in 28.5 overs.
Bisal Ningombam top-scored with 39 runs, but the team lacked partnerships as RCA's bowlers maintained relentless pressure.
Aziz Mirza, Zamir Khan and Naesh Hussain each picked up 2 wickets in their resounding victory.
Elsewhere, KASC outclassed REYS by 5 wickets.
REYS opted to bat first but were bowled out for 127 in 19.3 overs, with Ringku Kangujam being the standout performer, scoring a blistering 61 off just 26 balls (9 fours, 3 sixes).
However, KASC's bowlers, led by Bm Afsar (5 wickets for 29 runs), restricted REYS effectively.
In response, KASC chased down the target in 31.1 overs, reaching 128/5.Muhammad Ali Karim anchored the innings with a steady 60 off 98 balls, while Bm Irfan contributed 29 runs.
Naoshekpam Manglemba Meetei was the pick of the bowlers for REYS, taking 2 wickets.
YWC secured an emphatic 84-run victory over CYCLONE.
YWC posted 226/10 in 39.2 overs, thanks to a brilliant century by Ningthoujam Thoiba Singh (107 off 79 balls, 13 fours, 4 sixes) and a solid 65 from Soubam Robinson Singh.
CYCLONE struggled in their chase, bowled out for 142 in 28.1 overs.
Yumnam Chingkhei Nganba was the star with the ball, claiming 4 wickets for just 13 runs, while Soubam Robinson Singh chipped in with 3 wickets.
Ningthoujam Thoiba Singh s century for CYCLONE went in vain.
