FORCE, AKSDO win as U-19 Women's One Day Trophy begins

Imphal, April 26 2025: FORCE, Kshetrigao and AKSDO, Khangabok emerged victorious in the opening day matches of the 3rd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy at THAU ground and Kongba Dhobi Lampak today.

In the Group A opening match staged at THAU ground, PTCC, Patsoi opted to bat first but were bundled out for 30 runs in 12.5 overs and FORCE took just 4.1 overs to post winning 33 without any loss.

Rahamatun Khanam (4/3 in 4 overs) and Farjiya (4/8 in 5.5 overs) devastated the PTCC line up today before Mehanaz 18 and Barkatun Khanam 6 produced an unbeaten first wicket partnership for FORCE in reply.

Farjiya was adjudged player of the match.

Elsewhere in the Group B opener staged at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, AKSDO chased down a target of 145 runs in 31.3 overs with 4 wickets left to spare.

THAU opted to bat first and posted 144/9 in the allotted 35 overs thanks to leading performances from A Thoithoibi 32 off 42 and Salam Nganthoi 22 off 59.Kh Rabina (3/11), Kh Lucyrani (3/23) and Kh Bijiya (2/29) of AKSDO shared 8 crucial wickets in this innings before Moirangthem Daina 30 off 46, N Taniya 28 off 44 and N Langlen 25 off 30 gave early flourish in the chase before L Linthoi 6 not out and Kh Lucyrani 3 not out finished off the chase.

Khundrakpam Rabina who led the bowling attack for the winners was adjudged player of the match.
