State cricket players dominate NECDC NE Achievers' Nite with seven awards

Seven state players have been selected to receive awards at the 4th North East Cricket Development Committee (NECDC) Achievers' Nite 2025 .
The ceremony, set to take place on April 6, 2025 in Gangtok, Sikkim, aims to recognise outstanding performances during the BCCI Tournaments for the 2024-25 season.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA) as it boasts the highest number of awardees among all North East state cricket associations.
The recognition underscores the dedication and hard work of the players, coaches, and support staff, as well as MNCA's commitment to fostering cricketing excellence in Manipur.
A special highlight is Alice Thokchom, who has been honoured with two awards in different categories, showcasing her exceptional talent and versatility in the sport.
The awardees include Bishworjit Singh Konthoujam (Best Bowler, Sr Men's, 42 wickets), Ningthoujam Thoiba Singh (Best Wicket Keeper, U-19 Men's, 13 dismissals & 307 runs), Keisham Kalpana Devi (Best Wicket Keeper, Sr Women's, 10 dismissals & 229 runs), Taniya Ningthoujam (Best Wicket Keeper, U-19 Girls, 8 dismissals & 95 runs), Langlen Ningthoujam (Best Wicket Keeper, U-15 Girls, 5 dismissals & 71 runs), Bijiya Khundrakpam (Best Bowler, U-15 Girls, 9 wickets), and Alice Thokchom, who secured dual accolades as Best Batter (99 runs) and Most Emerging Player (198 runs & 11 wickets) in the U-15 Girls' category.
Meanwhile, the MNCA has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the players and expressed gratitude to the NECDC and BCCI for providing a platform to recognise emerging cricketing talent from the North East region.
