RCA, ESU, PCC, PTCC advance to MNCA Mens U-19 quarters

RCA, ESU, PCC and PTCC all advanced to the quarterfinals of the 3rd MNCA Mens U19 One Day Trophy 2024-25, following their triumphs on Friday.
RCA booked their place in the last eight with a 313-run thrashing of SHADOW in their pre-quarterfinal clash at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
RCA put on a spectacular display, posting a mammoth total of 383/10 in 37.5 overs.
Naesh Hussain was the standout performer, smashing 147 runs off just 62 balls, including 13 fours and 11 sixes.
Zuned contributed a blistering 84 off 31 deliveries, while Md Samir Khan added a composed 53.In response, SHADOW crumbled under pressure, managing only 70/9 in 19.1 overs.
Naesh Hussain shone with the ball as well, taking 4 wickets for just 14 runs, supported by Sagatnam Lanchenba (4/41) and Farhan Ahmed (3/17).RCA's all-round dominance secured them a massive victory.
At Khudelband Lampak, ESU outplayed BLUE HAWK by 5 wickets on their way to the quarterfinals.
BLUE HAWK set a target of 170/10 in 37.2 overs, with Nongdamba Khunjamayum top-scoring (45) and Manas adding 34 .
ESU's bowlers, led by Hanjabam Naoba Sharma (3/26) and Nametrakpam Lelli (3/15), kept the opposition in check.
ESU chased down the total comfortably in 38.3 overs, reaching 173/5.Sandham Abhinash Singh anchored the innings with an unbeaten 44, while Akojjam Sangba Singh (30) and Hanjabam Naoba Sharma (18*) provided crucial support.
PCC, meanwhile, dominated CYCLONE by 91 runs at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-III Cherapur, to progress to the last eight.
PCC posted a competitive 259/10 in 36.3 overs, thanks to half-centuries from Lucky Thokchom (61) and Max Warokpam Meitei (59).Robinson Sougajjam (55) fought hard for CYCLONE, but Mairembam Lucky Meitei's 4/19 dismantled their batting line-up, restricting them to 168/10 in 28.3 overs.
The other pre-quarterfinal match saw PTCC beat MODEL by 34 runs in their encounter at Lairenjam Public Ground.
PTCC scored 197/10 in 39.3 overs, with Loukrakpam Anao Singh (56) and Dhirendakishore Naorem (29) leading the charge.
MODEL'S chase was curtailed by rain, and they fell short at 119/10 in 20.5 overs, with Bisal Ningombam (56) the lone bright spot.
Langamba Ninggombam (3/22) and Dhirendakishore Naorem (2/24) were key for PTCC .
