YOSC, Milan FA win in MSL

Imphal, April 02 2025: YOSC and Milan FA notched up convincing wins in Wednesday's fixtures of the 17th Manipur State League at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

YOSC cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Rahee UC, thanks to a strong second-half display.

YOSC were made to work hard for their breakthrough in a cagey first half that saw both midfields cancel each other out.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 71st minute when Md Sabir, who had been a constant threat, latched onto a clever through ball before slotting past the advancing goalkeeper with unerring composure.

This goal seemed to deflate Rahee UC, who had until that point defended resolutely.

As Rahee UC committed more men forward in search of an equaliser, YOSC exploited the growing spaces with ruthless efficiency.

Huidrom Alvishon Singh doubled the advantage in the 89th minute, finishing off a sweeping counter-attack that originated from the other end.

There was still time for Moirangthem Berlin to add gloss to the scoreline, sealing the win deep into stoppage time with a third goal in the 92nd minute.

Meanwhile, Milan FA secured a 2-0 win against NESU, with Salam Boyai Singh proving the difference.

In a match that remained tightly contested for much of the contest, Salam broke the deadlock with an 84th-minute strike before adding a second just two minutes later, ensuring his side walked a way with all three points.
