State Level Sepaktakraw C'ship: PUC-B vs IMSUC in sub-junior girls' quad event final showdown

Imphal, April 26 2025: PUC-B will square off against IMSUC in the title clash of the sub-junior girls' quad event in the ongoing State Level Sepaktakraw Championships.

PUC-B reached the final with a 10-15, 15-8, 15-9 comeback win against PUC-A in the first semi-final while IMSUC got the better of VASTA in straight sets (15-10, 15-9) in the second semi-final match to complete the final line up.

Later in the day, PUC-A overcame YASTA 15-9, 15-8 in the hard line match to seal the third place.

Earlier in the league round matches, PUC-B suffered 8-15, 13-15 loss to IMSUC but defeated YAWA-A 15-5,17-15 and SWC-A 15-13, 15-13 to make their way into the semi-final and the final.

Meanwhile, IMSUC had beaten SWC-A15-7,15-8 and YAWA-A 15-12, 15-10 to complete the Group B league stage sweep.

The day also saw completion of the final line up of the sub-junior boys' quad event as YAWA-A and HUDIC sealed semi-final victories.

YAWA-A entered the final with a 15-3, 15-4 win against SWC-A while HUDIC beat PUC 15-13, 15-5 in the other semi-final match.

In the hard line match staged later, PUC overcame SWC-A 15-9, 8-15, 15-8 .

Senior women's quad event

The day also saw completion of four matches of the senior women's quad event.

IMSUC beat MPSC 15-13, 15-12 for the first Group B win before beating YAWA 15-8, 15-6 for the second straight victory.

In another Group B match, MPSC beat YAWA 15-12, 15-6 as SAIRC beat PUC 15-11, 15-6 in the Group A opener.

MPSC-B secure fourth straight win in senior men's quad event

MPSC-B registered fourth straight Group A victory in the senior men's quad event today as PUC seal three wins in four matches.

MPSC-B opened their account by beating SWC-A 15-9, 15-5 before beating YAWA-A 15-6, 15-9 for the second win; SAIRC 15-8,15-5 for the third win and PUC 15-11, 17-16 for the fourth win.

Meanwhile PUC beat SAIRC 15-9, 16-17, 15-13 for the first win before beating YAWA-A 15-11, 15-4 and SWC-A 17-15, 15-10 for the second and third wins.

Meanwhile in Group B matches, IMSUC and MPSC-A posted three wins in four matches respectively.

IMSUC opened their account by beating MPSC-A 5-15, 15-8, 16-15 before beating KYC 15-13, 15-10 and SWC-B 15-7, 12-15, 15-8 for the second and third wins.

They however went down 13-15, 10-15 to YAWA-B in the fourth match.

In the meantime, MPSC-A made their way back into the game with a 15-9, 15-12 win over YAWA-B and carried forward the momentum with 15-10, 15-9 win against KYC and 17-14, 15-9 win against SWC-B .
