68th National School Games Football : Manipur drub Maharashtra 5-0 in U-19 Girls' competition

Manipur defeated Maharashtra by 5-0 goals in a one sided match of the 68th National School Games Football for U-19 girls today at Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak.
Manipur enjoyed a 2-0 first half lead thanks to goals coming from Helena (16') and Rumila (35+2') before Luxmi (40'), Lakhipiyari (41') and Oliviya (70+1') scored in the second half to complete the 5-0 rout of Maharashtra.
In other matches, West Bengal hammered IPSC by 10-0 goals, Punjab defeated Puducherry by 3-0 goals, Jharkhand routed Arunachal Pradesh 5-0, Haryana demolished Jammu and Kashmir 19-0, Bihar crushed Karnataka 8-0, Odisha beat uttar Pradesh 1-0, Tamil Nadu blanked Delhi 5-0, Chhattisgarh beat Andhra Pradesh 2-0, Rajasthan thumped Telangana 7-2 .
U-19 Boys : Manipur suffer 0-1 loss to 10-man Kerala
Meanwhile in the boys competition, Manipur suffered a 0-1 loss to 10-man Kerala in a Pool C clash at ESU ground, Wangkhei Palace Compound this morning.
The lone goal that earned Kerala all three points was scored by Abinash V in the 43rd minute.
Although Kerala lost Ben Roshan off a second yellow card, Manipur failed to make the most of the numerical superiority and went down by the narrow margin.
Manipur pulled off a huge 5-0 win over IPSC in the opening match yesterday.
In Pool A matches staged today, Haryana beat Jammu and Kashmir by 1-0 goal at Artificial Turf ground, Lamlong Thongkhong as Odisha beat Delhi by 2-1 goals at ESU ground.
In Pool B matches, Punjab beat CISCE by 3-1 goals at Lanjing Turf Ground as CBSE earned a walkover win against Uttarakhand.
In the meantime, IPSC beat Bihar by 4-3 goals in a keenly contested Pool C match as Rajasthan thrashed Chandigarh by 3-0 goals and Andaman and Nicobar played out a 3-3 draw with Madhya Pradesh in Group D matches.
Ina Group E match staged at Langjing Turf Ground, CBSE beat Puducherry by 5-4 goals as UP beat Vidhya Bharathi 3-1 and Maharashtra crushed Telangana by 11-1 goals in Group F matches.
In a Group G match, Jharkhand rode on doubles from Vishal Mahto and Rohit to overwhelm Chhattisgarh 5-0 at ESU ground.
In Group G matches of the day, Gujarat thrashed Karnataka by 4-1 goals and West Bengal prevailed 9-1 against IBSO .
