Wins for Betuk, Bortha, Mahenii, Ruul & Cheengkhu in 1st Thoruwl Trophy

Imphal, April 30 2024: Betuk FC, Bortha FC, Mahenii FC, Ruul FC and Cheengkhu YC registered contrasting wins on the second day of the 1st Thoruwl Trophy 5-a-side Futsal Tournament 2024 at Thoruwl Turf, Liwa Sarei, Chandel on Tuesday.

Betuk FC beat P Ralringkhu in a penalty shootout.

Betuk FC prevailed 5-4 over their opponents in the.shoutout after the teams remained tied 4-4 at the end of the regulation time, during which Daringn-gam (10), William (28), Ashok (33) and Thamdar (35) scored one goal apiece for Bertuk FC while both Alover (3, 12) and Shelhring (24, 31) netted twice for the losing side.

Bortha FC too triumphed on penalties against their opponents Babylon FC in the day's second match.

The teams were deadlocked 9-9 in the regulation time before Bortha FC outscored Babylon 3-2 in a thrilling penalty shootout.

Earlier, Th Milan led the scoring for the winning side with four goals while teammate TS Joyngam grabbed a treble and Ng Roger added one goal.

Bortha's other goal came via an own goal.

The third match saw Mahenii FC romp to a 13-6 win over Youngsters FC.

Lightson (14,18,19, 25, 26, 28, 30, 33, 36, 40) starred in their victory with a 10-goal haul while Christianson (26, 34) scored a double and Th Chihansing contributed (6) one.

Ruul FC enjoyed a 14-2 hammering of Piglets FC as Ch Mothra (25, 27, 28, 40) scored four goals, both Kh Townthang (16, 18, 20) and K James netted a treble, Kh Kosheng (2, 4) and K Shingkham (7, 10) got a double each, and Kh Kolian contributed one.

Cheengkhu YC carved out a 9-8 success against Lamphou Pasna with goals from SR Daniel (12, 15, 18), WL Bendson (19, 36, 38), TS Ngamhring (17), WL Chana (35) and Alpha Tongsin (37) .
