MAMMA FC lift State level open Futsal tournament

Imphal, January 15 2017: MAMMA FC, Sagolband were crowned champions of 3rd Nilesh Wahengbam State level open futsal football tournament 2017 after they beat SAK, Ngakhapat 6-2 at Usha Bhawan ground, Sagolband Sayang Pukhri Mapal.

Dr Ak Jhaljit, SP, Imphal East; Prof AK Manihar Singh; K Meghachandra Singh, Addl SP, IE; Dr W Imo Singh, MD, Subh Hospital and ARC, Lamphel and W Debraj Singh, Member, Ward No 10, IMC attended the closing ceremony as the dignitaries.

In the one-sided final match today, Maru of MAMMA FC scored twice in the 1st and 6th minute while Phalguni, Sanatomba, Roshan and Tomba struck one goal each in the team's win.

The two goals for SAK were scored by Romi and Raju.

Apart from a trophy each, the winners team got richer by Rs 75,000 while the runners up team got Rs 40,000 .

UBC, Sayang were adjudged the best team and they were presented a trophy and a cash of Rs 7000.Best player of the tournament M Maru of MAMMA FC was presented a Rs 5000 along with a trophy while the best goalkeeper award, carrying Rs 5000 and a trophy, was given to Suraj of MAMMA FC.

The top scorer award of Rs 5000 and a trophy was given to Prem of Champion FC.

He scored a total of 21 goals in the tournament.

Highest scorer of the final match award (Rs 1000) was given to M Maru of MAMMA FC.
