2nd H Biramangol Memorial Trophy : PTCC hammer AMCA by 10 wickets to keep quarterfinal hopes alive

PTCC, Patsoi Part III crushed AMCA, Thoubal by 10 wickets for the third win in four Group A games in the ongoing 2nd MNCA U-23 Men's Haobam Biramangol Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25 .
AMCA won the toss and opted to bat first.
They were however bundled out for 84 runs in 24.2 overs as PTCC bowling attack led by Loukrakpam Anao proved too effective.
In reply, Mandingbam Andy 66 and Paonam Champion 9 produced an unbeaten first wicket partnership of 86 runs to set up the huge win for PTCC.

For AMCA, Khulakpam Fariyaz was unbeaten on 34 off 66 as Maibam Anish added 20 off 23 balls.
They were the only double digit run getters as 4 batters went out on duck and five others ended with single digit scores.
Loukrakpam Anao picked the third wicket in the form of Thoubalmayum Mustakin after Tongbram Devas and Moirangthem Dominic removed the first two batters to reduce AMCA to 18/2 .
Anao then swept the 5th, 6th and the 7th wickets to return with the best figures of 4/17 in 7.2 overs while Devas and Dominic returned with the figures of 2/13 and 2/30 respectively.
Ningombam Langamba also returned with a wicket (1/24) .
Chasing 85 for the win, Andy clobbered 8 fours and 4 sixes on the way to his 20-ball 66 while Champion hit a four on the way to his 8-ball 9 to gather 75 runs and sealed the win with the help of 11 extras.
L Anao was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Later in a Group B match, CHAMP CC, Khagempalli sealed a 54-run victory against KSDO who were penalized 4 overs for late reporting.
CHAMP opted to bat first but were bundled out for 211 runs in 37.3 overs but defended their total by restricting KSDO to 157/8 in 36 overs (4 overs reduced) .
CHAMP raised the competitive total courtesy of half centuries from Nawaz 82 off 87 and Md Babu 61 off 52 in an innings that saw Khutheibam Md Soheb (4/29 in 5.3 overs), Md Shah Jahan (3/44 in 8 overs) and Kh Firdos (2/34 in 8 overs) sharing 9 wickets among them.
In the chase, Khutheibam Abu Sufiyan topscored with 45 runs off 75 deliveries as Md Arif Khan followed suit with 21 runs off 20 balls.
Md Washim, Md Soheb and Md Riyajuddin also added identical 12 runs to the team's tally.
For CHAMP, Md Babu (2/27) and Nawaz (2/28) shared four wickets as Thounaojam Pritam, Afjal Khan and Potsangbam Ritz picked a wicket apiece.
Nawaz who led the batting charge for CHAMP was adjudged player of the match.
