AR conducts plantation drive

Imphal, July 08 2021: In continuation of its efforts to promote afforestation and create awareness amongst the locals, 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 22 Sector AR/ IGAR(E) organised a two-day drive of planting flowering plants alongside the roads in Tamenglong town from Wednesday.

In a release, AR stated that the efforts are part of the seven-day long Van Mahotsav celebration in in Tamenglong and Kangpokpi districts.

On this occasion, the unit's Van Mitras planted flowering plant saplings alongside the roads.
