Rain, storm disrupt normal life in Noney

Noney, May 05 2024: Heavy rain disrupted normal life in Noney district on Sunday.

Hie heavy rain accompanied by strong wind blew away roofing sheets of many dwelling houses and temporary structures, besides causing walls to collapse in many places in the district.

Trees were uprooted and fell on houses, causing significant damage while power cables and poles were destroyed in many locations.

houses in low-lying areas inundated and street of Longami Bazar flooded, mainly due to poor drainage system.

Landslides and mudslides occurred in many areas as hailstones destroyed crops and horticultural plantations.
