Documentary film released

A documentary film entitled Nagagenous (Friends of Bamboo) has been released today along with a simple function at Manipur press Club.
The release function of the 47 minutes documentary film in CD format organised by Tamei-based The Prodigal Ministry was held with IAS (Retd) LP Golmei as the chief guest.
According to producer Dee Abonmai XL the documentary film aims to portray as well as promote traditional musical instruments made from locally available materials such as bamboo and pine splinter and the artistes associated with the indigenous art form.
Informing that Nagagenous is a Dimapur-based gospel and folk musical group formed in 2010, he said uniqueness of the group from other contemporary musicians is the former's musical instrument entirely made from locally available materials.
