NE Youths form voluntary team in Karnataka

With an aim to provide social security to people from northeastern states of India, who are residing in Karnataka, a voluntary social group called North East Sadbhavna Team (NEST) has been formally formed under the aegis of Bharatiya Janata Party Karnataka State in a meeting held on March 16 at the premise of Karnataka State Pradesh BJP Office, Malleswaram with V Satish, Jt.
Gen.
Secretary (Org.), National BJP as chief guest and Manjunatah KS, BJP Karnataka State Cell Coordinator as guest of honour.
Around 100 people including youths of northeastern states staying in different parts of Karnataka and office bearers of Karnataka State BJP attended the meeting.
Following the formation of NEST, a meeting was convened at the state BJP office today at 2.30 PM.
During the meeting it was decided that the team would be headed by Juganta Das of Assam and Bihswajit Sharma of Manipur as Coordinators.
During the meeting, the team also announced a list of action plans including render voluntary service and guidance to people of northeastern states of India, who come to the city for medical treatment, education, employment etc.
Furthermore, the team decided to set-up a dedicated
help line number.
