Liangmai docu-film released

A Liangmai documentary film titled "Nagagenous" was released today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.
Nagagenous, a group of gospel and folk musicians from Dimapur in Nagaland was formed in 2010 .
The group is led by its founder, Hojevi Cappa, a recipient of Governor Award 2011 with the co-founder and secretary Vikiho Sumi and other twelve young committed and promising musicians.
The fact that the group create their own musical instruments with locally available materials of nature like timber, wood and creepers, also adding beauty to the existing original traditional instruments, is a unique quality of the Nagagenous.
Organised by the Prodigal Ministry, Tamei, Tamenglong district, Manipur, the documentary film releasing function was attended by L..PGonmei, IAS (retd.), member, MPSC and Adibo Newmei, Associate Professor, N..GCollege, Imphal, who is also recipient of Special Jury Award, 8th Manipur State Film Festival, 2013 .
