Kanggui, March 25 2014:
Kuki Students' Organisation Sadar Hills today warned of imposing a 24 hr total bandh from midnight of Mar 28 which will subsequently be followed by indefinite economic blockade along the National Highways leading to the State capital within Sadar Hills if the State Govt fails to implement the demands of the student body before March 27 .
The KSO-SH has been demanding posting of adequate doctors at Community Health Centre (CHC) Kangpokpi and to reinstate all the powers entitled to Addl DC Kangpokpi which has been recently cancelled as well as to rectify the term Addl DC Kangpokpi to Addl DC Sadar Hills.
Thangminlen Kipgen, president of the student body said the demands of the student body is the emergency needs of the people of Sadar Hills which need immediate attention of the State Govt which the Govt intentionally ignored.
Considering the festive mood of the people during Holi, the KSO decided to defer its stir.
However, taking advantages of it the Government remains adamant to the demand, Thangminlen said.
While the people of Sadar Hills suffer untold misery the student body will no longer remain silent over the issue, he warned.
