Inauguration of Community Hall at Lilong

Lilong, March 25 2014:
The much awaited Community Hall constructed at Lilong Chaobok Ipham Village was finally handed over to the public by Brig.
MK Das, SM, VSM, Commander, 9 Sector Assam Rifles on March 24 .
The Hall has been constructed by 40 Assam Rifles under its AR Civic Action Programme and contribution money.
The inaugural function was presided over by Moulavi Abdul Salam (Faisal), Zila Parishad, Thoubal District and MK Das, Commandant, 9 sector AR took the chair of the Chief Guest.
Addressing the function, Brig.
Das talked about the vision, dedication and hardwork of locales.
He said it was to be maintained, progressed, and developed through the efforts of locales.
He added that the goals would be achieved through the integrated development programmes of youths.
The community hall envisaged to possess the facilities of Library, coaching for competitive exams, career counseling, venue for seminar/workshops, e-admission, e-classroom, etc.
The functional president expressed his happiness and prayed for fulfilling our achievements through this Community Hall.
The function was attended by around 250 persons including village elders, learned persons, students, etc.
Some officers present in the function included Col.Rahul Verma, Commmandant 40 AR and Major Thapa, CO, Lilong Post AR.
It is worth mentioning that a land measuring point eight acre (.8) was dedicated by (L) Md Nasib Ali of Chaobok Ipham for the construction of the community hall.
