Imphal, April 25 2025: Khongjom Battle Memorial Committee, Manipur organised the 31st tribute paying ceremony at the memorial of 'commander' Major Chongtha Mia and unknown soldiers located at Khongjom Tenggol Lampak on Friday.

In a release, Memorial Committee secretary Chingtam Luwang informed that those gathered also offered tarpan in the river flowing nearby the Tenggol Lampak.

He stated that the committee would continue organising the observance until the government officially recognises Khongjom Day on its actual date, April 25 .
