Imphal, July 11 2013: The proscribed UNLF has refuted the claim of Imphal West Police of arresting a cadre of the outfit from Mantripukhri area on July 8.A statement issued by Publicity Officer of UNLF M Shakhen said that the arrested Yumnam Tomba (35), s/o Y Mangi of Nilakuthi Awang Leikai is not related to the outfit.

The police have arrested civilians and made false propaganda to the public in order to receive accolades from the Government.

Moreover, the arms claimed to have been recovered from the arrested person actually belonged to the Police and the weapon is just a ploy to establish their false claim, it added.
