Imphal, February 14, 2013:
The Maram Students' Union (MSU) urged the concerned Department to speed up the road construction at National Highway in Maram.
Stating the negligence and delay of execution of work after the fund had been sanctioned, it described the danger and life threatening conditions the highway has become.
MSU President Pungdi P Celestine said that the thick volume of dust caused by the vehicles has made the area an accident prone, while schools and college students are exposed to health hazard daily.
The Union requested the authority concerned to consider the aggrieved residents and students to execute the work without any delay.
