Imphal, May 03 2011: Starting from May 6, Electricity Dept would launch its drive against defaulting and unauthorised consumers as well as regularisation of illegal connection in areas under the jurisidction of Central sub-division no.I, II and III of Imphal Electrical Division no.I .

Issuing a notice in this connection, Executive Engineer of the Dept T Ibochouba Singh has informed that defaulting consumers can clear of their outstanding dues in three instalments (50:25:25) within three months.

As for new connection, the applicants may contact EE/IED-I, the notice said, while seeking the co-operation of the consumers in the ongoing drive of the Department.
