Annual Action Plan Workshop of KVKs-2025 kicks off

A 3-day "Annual Action Plan Workshop of Krishi Vigyan Kendras-2025 (Zone-VII Umiam)" kicked off today at the auditorium of College of Agriculture (COA), Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal.
The workshop was jointly organised by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)- Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Zone VIL Umiam, Meghalaya and CAU, Imphal.
The inaugural function was graced by dignitaries, including Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor, CAU Imphal, ; Padma Shri Th Chaoba Singh, former Union Minister, Government of India; Prof Indira Sarangthem, Director of Instruction, CAU, Imphal & Dean, COA, CAU, Imphal; Prof Ph Ranjit Sharma, Director of Extension Education, CAU, Imphal; Kh Rangamlian Aimol, Director, Institute of Co-Operative Management, Imphal and Dr AK Mohanty, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Zone-VII, Umiam, Meghalaya.
The workshop focused on formulation of targeted action plans for KVKs under Zone-VII for the year 2025 .
It also provided a platform for comprehensive review of each KVK's proposed activities to ensure strategic alignment with the goals of national priority and state policy, promote sustainable practices, and strengthen the role of KVKs as grassroots-level knowledge hubs.
Inauguration of a Rural Agri-Business Incubation Centre (RABIC) and releasing of publications/video films of KVKs were the main highlight of the event.
