WMG College observes World Intellectual Property Day

As observed across the world, Waikhom Mani Girls' (WMG) College, Thoubal Okram, in collaboration with Manipur Science & Technology Council (MASTEC), observed the World Intellectual Property Day-2025 under the theme 'IP and Music: Feel the Beat of IP' at college's seminar hall on Saturday.
The programme was attended by MASTEC member secretary and secretary (science & technology) Kengoo Zuringla as chief guest and WMG College principal professor H Manoranjan Sharma as president, while MASTEC director Dr Kh Rakesh and National Informatics Centre (NIC) scientist K Gopalkrishna Sharma were guests of honour.
During the event, MASTEC patent information centre (PIC) in-charge L Surjit Singh spoke as resource person on 'IPR', while WMG College IPR Cell nodal officer Dr Hijam Pushparani gave the keynote address.
Speaking as chief guest, Kengoo Zuringla urged youths, who have considerable online presence, to have fair knowledge on copyright infringement in connection to music and video.
