Pambei-led UNLF mourns

Imphal, April 21 2025: The Pambei-led UNLF and its armed wing MPA have mourned the demise of its local cadre Naorem Thoujal-heiba alias Anand s/o Naorem Dolen and Chaoba of Heibongpokpi Mayai Leikai, Imphal West.

According to a press release issued by the outfit's Department of Publicity and Education Director Charairongba Thokchom, Naorem Thoujal-heiba sustained critical injuries when a fellow cadre misfired accidentally on April 20 and he succumbed to the injuries.

Naorem Thoujal-heiba, born on July 13, 1996, joined the outfit in April 2023 .

Thoujal-heiba is the eldest of four siblings born to Naorem Dolen and Chaoba.

He is survived by his wife and two small children, it said.

Naorem Thoujal-heiba was a courageous, disciplined and dutiful revolutionary fighter who had a strong sense of Nationalism and was dedicated to the cause of Manipur's freedom.

During the short period of being a party cadre, he took active roles in the revolutionary movement.

The Pambei-led UNLF and its armed wing MPA have also conveyed solidarity to the bereaved family .

It further prayed that the mortal remains of the departed revolutionary fighter may rest in peace on the soil of the motherland.
