CME on stem cell transplant and rational transfusion practices organised at RIMS

Imphal, April 16 2025: The Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS, Imphal, in collaboration with the Manipur Society of Transfusion Medicine organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on "Stem Cell Transplant and Rational Transfusion Practices" at Sushruta Hall, RIMS.

As per a press release, Professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director, RIMS, Professor N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent and Professor Th Meera, Dean (Academics)attended the event.

In his address, the RIMS Director emphasized the vital role of stem cell therapies and evidence-based transfusion practices in enhancing patient care.

The CME featured leading experts who delivered insightful lectures on cutting-edge developments in stem cell therapy and transfusion medicine.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to guest speakers for their contributions.

Meanwhile, as part of the World Oral Health Day 2025 celebration, the Dental College, RIMS, in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha State Implementation Society, Manipur organized a State-Level Quiz Competition and Science Exhibition at Jubilee Hall, RIMS.

In the Science Exhibition, Bishnupur District took first place, followed by Wangoi Zone and Imphal East.

Thoubal District received a consolation prize.

Senapati District won the Oral Health Exhibition, while Bishnupur and Wangoi secured second and third positions.

Chandel District topped the Quiz Competition, with Imphal East and Thoubal placing second and third.

Winners received mementos, certificates and cash prizes.
