Senapati, June 11 2025:
Following the State Government's failure to respond within the 48-hour period to the ultimatum served on June 4, demanding the transfer of the district's Superintendent of Police and Additional Superintendent of Police (Law & Order), the Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) has launched a non-cooperation movement against the two.
In a directive issued today, the student body has instructed the general public, civil society organizations (CSOs), and all stakeholders concerned to refrain from any engagement, cooperation, or correspondence with the two officers both in civil and official capacities with immediate effect.
"This directive shall remain in force until due action is taken and the officials in question are relieved from their posts," said the student body.
The decision has been necessitated by their alleged unprofessional conducts and mishandling of a peaceful democratic agitation, as well as the Government's indifference to legitimate public concerns, it added.
Additionally, the apex student body asserted that it shall not be held responsible for any breakdown of law and order or any threat to public safety resulting from the continued service of the officers in the district.
The student body also appealed to all to be vigilant and prepared for any future course of action which the Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) may initiate in the interest of justice, accountability, and for collective good.
