NAAC assessment for MTU to be sought

Department of Higher and Technical Education Commissioner and Vice Chancellor of Manipur Technical University (MTU) H Gyan Prakash (IAS) has encouraged students to bring forward innovative ideas apart from focusing on their studies.
He made the remark during the commencement of the three-day Fenomenon 2025 (Annual Technical and Cultural Festival of Manipur) held at the Government Polytechnic Hall at MTU campus in Takyelpat under the theme "Unleash Your Potential".
Speaking as the chief guest, M Gyan Prakash said that students should try to learn additional skills, come up with innovative ideas and focus their potential on new avenues.
He also addressed the issue of youth unemployment.
Delivering the presidential address, Ramananda Nongmeikapam, Registrar, MTU said that they are applying for NAAC assessment and striving to introduce PhD programmes in the University.
He urged students to inculcate the habit of going to libraries.
Pointing out that there is no guarantee of a Government job after a student completes a BTech course, he urged them to pursue employment opportunities that suit their education.
He further said that a blood donation camp will be held in connection with Fenomenon 2025.The inaugural ceremony was attended by Likmabam Shamungou, Principal, Government Polytechnic, Imphal; Roshnikumar Yambem, Managing Director, Globizs Web Solutions Pvt Ltd and Dr Moirangthem Dayananda Meetei, Managing Director, Medilane Health Tech and Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd as the presidium members.
