Kabui Union Manipur observes 7th foundation day

Imphal, March 25 2025: The 7th foundation day of Kabui Union Manipur was observed today at Majorkhul community hall.

Notable dignitaries present at the ceremony include former MOS and Union Home Minister Professor Meijinlung Kamson and Dr K Heera Kabui, president, Kabui Union Manipur as the chief guest and functional president.

Kamson Gangmumei Kabui, president, Kabui Customary Council, Manipur; Longmei Maiten Kabui, Chief, Duigaipangjang Kabui Kailong; Palmei Amuthoi Kabui, Khangbonpi, Sairem Kabui Kailong; Phaomei Puiruna Kabui, president, Kabui Womens' Organisation Manipur; Sapamcha Jadumani, president, Federation of Haomee; Dr Sanatampha Rajkumari, president, Indigenous Mother Association Haomee; G Jiten Kabui, chairman, Kabui Union Bishnupur and Kamei Solomon Kabui, president, Kabui Student Organisation Manipur were present as the guests of honour.

Addressing the gathering, Dr K Heera Kabui asserted that indigenous communities of Manipur share a great bond which cannot be broken.

Calling for harmonious co-existence among indigenous communities, he maintained that Kabui Union has also erected the "Indigenous Pillar" at Sawombung Kabui Khul to reinforce this idea.

As a part of the ceremony, meritorious awards and certificates were distributed to successful Class X and XII students.
