Condolences continue to pour in from different quarters mourning the tragic loss of the two young Air India cabin crew members from the State who were among the victims of the Ahmedabad plane crash.
The Air India flight bound for London with 242 people on board, including two crew members from Manipur - Kongbrailatpam Nganthoi Sharma and Lamnunthem Singson, crashed into a medical college hostel in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, soon after it took off, resulting in a devastating loss of life with only one survivor.
Expressing profound sorrow over the untimely demise of two young girls from Manipur, the Global Manipur Federation (GMF) said, "Their loss is not only a personal tragedy for their families but a heartbreaking moment for the entire Manipuri community and the nation at large" .

In a time when our State continues to struggle under the weight of violence and social unrest, their passing is a sobering reminder of the value and fragility of human life.
Their dreams were not ended by conflict or hatred, but by an unforeseen calamity underscoring the urgent need for peace, unity, and the protection of life in all its forms", said GMF.
Offering heartfelt condolences to the grieving families, GMF prayed, "Let this tragic moment serve as a powerful lesson for all of us in Manipur, that every life is precious, and that healing, reconcihation, and compassion must guide us forward.
