Imphal, April 02 2025: Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp at Nambashi Khullen in Kamjong district on Wednesday during which 131 locals, including 49 women and 47 children, were screened for treatment.

According to PRO IGAR (S), the medical team comprising health experts and paramedical staff of Assam Rifles, conducted health check-ups, provided basic medical care and distributed complimentary medicines to those in need.

Health awareness sessions were also conducted to educate the villagers on seasonal diseases and their precautions, hygiene, preventive healthcare and common ailments, said the PRO, adding that the initiative was highly appreciated by the villagers who lauded the dedication of the Assam Rifles personnel towards community welfare and expressed their heartfelt gratitude.
