Imphal, November 08: The New Appointees' Forum, Ukhrul ADC has strongly flayed the representation submitted to Dr SS Sidhu, Governor of Manipur for termination of irregular appointees in the six hill districts of Manipur by two "social workers" from Chandel district P Maphun Maring and M Simon Lamkang.

The Forum wonders as to why P Maphun Maring and M Simon Lamkang have taken so long, "probably more than one year to lodge this complaint".

The reaction of the Forum came following the publication of a press statement in Imphal based The Sangai Express on November 6.The Ukhrul forum termed the representation and allegation of Maphun Maring and Simon Lamkang as totally baseless and unfounded.

The Forum then demanded that the two persons should furnish the detail evidences of the involvement of the hill based underground outfits in this matter as alleged by the two social workers in their representation published in the newspaper.

The New Appointees Forum of Ukhrul District ADC alleged that while P Maphung Maring is a disgruntled and a desperate individual, the other signatory of the representation M Simon Lamkang is non-existent.

"Therefore, it all points to the destructive attitude and feeling of P Maphung Maring due to his own failure and inability to embark his selfish and unfair desires and ambitions in these appointments.

We would appreciate him/them or whoever is behind such notoriety if they could point out the irregular appointees and not disturb the whole setup", urged the forum.

It then claimed that by now, all the genuine appointees have well settled with "our respective appointments and postings".

"Trying to harm our prospects, careers of both teachers and students, and our families out of petty and irrational issues would be detrimental for all of us.

On failure to contain the situation, the entire responsibility would be fixed on P.Maphung maring for jeopardizing the interest of the hill people.

This forum on behalf of all the newly appointed teachers of the hill districts call on everyone to outrightly reject and condemn such statement," appealed the New Appointees Forum of Ukhrul ADC.

It then requested P.Maphung Maring and others who are involved in this matter to withdraw their "false application and statement" within three days time which was submitted to the Governor of Manipur.

It warned that in the event of the failure to do so will amount to the holding of the entire responsibility by P.Maphun Maring.
