Pambei-led UNLF salutes deceased cadre

Imphal, April 21 2025:
The Pambei-led United National Liberation Front (UNLF) and its armed wing Manipur People's Army (MPA) deeply condoled the untimely demise of its Local Cadre (LC) Naorem Thoujal-heiba alias Anand and extended revolutionary salutes to the departed cadre.
According a UNLF statement, LC Naorem Thoujal-heiba suffered a critical bullet injury while performing duty on April 20 after a colleague cadre cleaning firearms misfired and hit him.
Thoujal-heiba succumbed to the injury sustained in the accidental firing.
The UNLF statement issued by Department of Publicity and Education director Charairongba Thokchom said that Thoujal-heiba joined the Front in April, 2023 after completing militia training conducted by the party and he took part in many battles as MPA cadre for nearly two years.
Thoujal-heiba was the first son among four siblings of Naorem Dolen and Chao-ba of Heibongpokpi Mayai Leikai, Imphal West and he is survived by wife and two young children, the statement said, sharing pain and grief of Thoujal-heiba's family, friends and well-wishers.
