Demise of folk singer Goshe condoled

Imphal, April 16 2025: Manipur State Kala Akademi (MSKA) and All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) condoled the untimely demise of renowned Manipuri folk singer Thongam Goshe Meitei, who passed away on April 14, by observing two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.

In separate releases, MSKA and AMESCO pointed out that Thongam Goshe Meitei was a versatile artiste and was also associated with Manipuri theatre and Shumang Leela as a music composer.

His demise is indeed a great loss for Manipuri art and culture, they added.

They prayed for the departed soul to rest in everlasting peace and also shared pain and grief of the bereaved family.
