13 students leave for ISRO, Bengaluru

Imphal, April 21 2025:
A team of 13 students and one coordinator left for ISRO, Bengaluru, Karnataka on Monday afternoon.
Additional director of education (Schools-Valley) and nodal officer Bisheshwar Khumukcham, flagged off the team in the presence of parents, teachers, media persons and other officials of the department.
The tour organised under the 'North East Student Programme for Awareness, Reach and Knowledge on Space (NESPARKS), is being implemented by North EastSpace Applications Centre (NESAC) under the initiative of the Ministry of DoNER, in collaboration with Government of Manipur.

The aim of the tour is to ignite curiosity and foster awareness about space science and technology.
A targeted number of 100 talented science students from each of the eight NE states will get an opportunity to visit ISRO in different batches starting from April till December, 2025.The additional director had a brief one-on-one meeting with the 13 students before their departure from Imphal Airport.
