Thoubal, April 03 2025: Department 6f Geology of Waikhom Mani Girls' College (WMGC), Thoubal Okram organised a motivational talk on the topic 'Marine Geophysics and Exploration Geology' at the conference hall of the College on Thursday.

The talk was attended by Marine and Coastal Survey Division Eastern Region of Geology Survey of India, Salt Lake-II Kolkata Geophysics director Dr Lukram Ingocha Meetei, WMG College principal Professor Hanjabam Manoranjan Sharma and Geology Department head Dr Hijam Pusparani Devi as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

During the talk, Dr Lukram Ingocha spoke on 'marine geophysical exploration' and explained to the students about geophysics, marine geophysics and exploration, their role and functions, and the present state of marine geophysics in oceans around the world.
