KYKL, KCP mourn demise of two cadres

The proscribed outfits; KYKL and KCP have mourned the demise of Oinam Telheiba alias Landaba (36) and Ahanthem Bishan alias Kanglei (29) at a battle fought between a combined force of the revolutionary organisations of Kangleipak and a combined force of India military forces and its proxy forces along the Kangleipak/Manipur-Myanmar border at around 10 am on April 25, 2025.Oinam Telheiba alias Landaba was a 2nd Lieutenant in MYL, KYKL's armed wing while Ahanthem Bishan alias Kanglei was a Lance Corporal in MFL, KCP's armed wing.
According to a joint press release issued by the Central Committees of KCP and KYKL, 2nd Lt Landaba alias Telheiba was the fourth of five siblings bom to Oinam Ranjit and Oinam (ongbi) Yandhabi Leima of Uchiwa Turel Wangma.
He joined KYKL in 2007.2nd Lt Landaba was a cool, compassionate, caring, disciplined, persevering and courageous revolutionary fighter.
During the last 18 years, 2nd Lt Landaba accomplished several revolutionary tasks in different parts of WESEA.
He also took part in the Paraolon ambush of June 4, 2015 in which more than 18 Indian military personnel (6th Dogra Regiment) were killed and over 15 others were injured, it said.
L Cpl Ahanthem Bishan alias Kanglei was the only son out of four children bom to A Kumarjit and Ahanthem (ongbi) Pishak Leima of Khurai Thoidingjam Leikai.
L Cpl Bishan was a valiant revolutionary fighter who took keen interest in games and sports.
He stated that the independence of Kangleikpak can be restored only by protecting the revolutionary organisations and their shelters/camps.
The untimely demise of the two revolutionary fighters is an irreparable loss to not only KCP and KYKL but also to the entire revolutionary movement, said the two outfits.
The indomitable spirit and courage shown by the two martyrs at the battle will always remain a source of inspiration to all revolutionary fighters fighting against India, it said.
Paying deepest respect to the two deceased revolutionary fighters, KYKL and KCP have also conveyed solidarity to the bereaved families and friends.
