Thang-Ta training concludes with new production

Thoubal, March 28 2025: A training session and new production on "Thang Leiteng Haibagi Makhalsing" was organised by Association for Paona Memorial Arts and Rural Development Services (APMARDS), Wangkhem under the Chief Ministergi Artiste-singgi Tengbang (CMAT) scheme, at the Communicative English Language Teaching Institute (CELTI) near Thoubal Keithel on Friday.

The event, which marked the conclusion of a two-month Thang-Ta training programme held at APMARDS hall, Wangkhem, was attended by HLMTTCA, Irilbung director Padmashri Guru K Sanathoiba Sharma, CELTI principal Ak Sanjoy Meitei and Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Academy, New Delhi national secretary Dr Y Mahendrakumar Singh chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

As a part of the programme, Ministry of Culture Junior Fellowship holders in Thang-Ta namely Yambem Devikarani of Kongba Bazar and Thongam Yaiphaba of Naharup Makhapat, along with Senior Fellowship holder Ranjana Kangjam of Moirangkhom Sougaijam Leirak, were felicitated.

Certificates were also distributed to the trainees who completed the two-month Thang-Ta training.
