Youth Congress protests Pahalgam attack

Imphal, April 24 2025: Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress, under the leadership of All India Youth Congress general secretary and Manipur in-charge Sarifa Rahman, organised a sit-in protest against the April 22 terror attack at Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, in front of Congress Bhawan on Thursday.

Interacting with the media at the protest venue, Sarifa Rahman condemned the terror attack that claimed several lives.

"Considering the fact that Pahalgam is located far from the border, there are possibilities of local involvement as the chances of the terrorists sneaking into the location is remote," she said.

Pointing out flaws in security measures, Sarifa Rahman demanded that the Central government take up stringent measures to prevent similar incidents in future.

She also criticised the BJP-led government, calling it a 'failed government'.

Protestors held placards with slogans like 'We want justice', and 'Enough bloodshed, strike terror at its source' among others.
